PANDIMAN PHILIPPINES VISITS UNITED KINGDOM- 10th to 20th MAY 2016
Pandiman Philippines, represented by Ms. Marina Urpiano, Joint Manager Operations and Abigael Gallano, Senior Claims Executive of Personal Injury Division visited the United Kingdom in May 2016.
Whilst in the UK, they visited Clubs, and met key personnel.
11th and 12th May - Personal Injury Division of Brittania P&I, represented by Ella Hagell, Anne Casey, Gillian Lam and Nicola Chambers warmly received Ms Urpiano and Ms. Gallano.
12th May, Evening - Ms. Urpiano and Ms. Gallano enjoyed the River Cruise and a fine dinner courtesy of UK Club – Thomas Miller. The following day, 13th of May, they spent the day with their People Claims Team and then joined a “Team Lunch” in nearby St. Katherine’s Dock. (Pandiman Philippines Inc Visit to UK Club)
16th to 19th May – North of England gave Pandiman special attention considering the volume of crew claims we handle for them. Numerous Presentations related to claims were presented to Ms. Urpiano and Ms. Gallano, and in turn, new systems at Pandiman were also introduced along with vital information about Filipino Crew Claims and Pandiman Philippines’ role and commitment to the Clubs.
The visit benefited Pandiman Philippines and our principals by, as the saying goes, “putting faces to names”. This visit has strenghten the relationship of Pandiman and our Principals in the United Kingdom.

We have had a significant number of enquires in regards to Filipino crew who will be on board vessels visiting ports in Indonesia. Most Filipino’s have the Polio vaccine when they are infants and therefore no certificate, in order to comply with latest requirements those onboard will require re-vaccination.

ALON 2 (12th Nov 2019) Alleged Unfair Dismissal Cases
The issue of a potential unfair dismissal is always a lively one and there are no short cuts to getting it right. Over the
years we have seen too many where one could easily reason the dismissal was fair, however unless the allegation is a strong one and falls under Section 33 of the POEA contract as a grave abuse with endangerment to the vessel or the lives of those onboard, then immediate dismissal is difficult. -
